Desmond Massillamany

Desmond Massillamany, 77, of Fishers, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 surrounded by his family. Desmond was born on December 14th, 1945 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He studied in both Sri Lanka and London before moving to the United States in 1984. Desmond enjoyed working as an engineer and retired at age 75 from Chrysler automotive. Not only did Desmond exemplify the American dream, but he also was a devout Catholic, finding solace and community within Holy Spirit at Geist. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding his actions and values. He is survived by his wife Amala, son Mario, daughter Chinska (Donald) Wittich; and four grandchildren Jackson and Sullivan Massillamany and Rose and Avery Wittich. He is also survived by his sisters Shereen Ramanayake and Rohini Fernandopulle and brother Anton Massillamany. Visitation for Desmond will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
