Beverly Lou Pepper, 82, of Carmel, Indiana departed this life at her home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. She was born May 11, 1941 in Batesville, Indiana to the late Ralph & Treva May (Ray) Hart. She grew up and attended schools in Connersville, Indiana. Beverly was a kind and gentle soul who always put the needs of others before her own. She was loving, unselfish, resourceful and occasionally a little stubborn. She was devoted to her Lord Jesus Christ and practiced the power of prayer regularly. In addition to raising six children, she had also worked for Delta Faucet in Greensburg, Stant Manufacturing in Connersville and had also owned and operated a daycare center in Carmel. Beverly loved living at Rosewalk in Carmel (now The Gallery) and fostered many meaningful relationships there in 22 years. When she was 66, she married Don Pepper and enjoyed traveling with him and sharing new experiences. She was always happiest being with her large family making memories and celebrating old ones. Beverly lived to love and rarely passed on an opportunity to play cards. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Don Pepper; granddaughter, Brookelin Solger; sons-in-law, Tarleton “T” Ware and Dean Solger; brothers, Lloyd and Jack Hart; sister, Carol Hart and her former husband, Terry Groll. She is survived by her devoted children, Cheryl (Jim) Colver, Kimberly Ware, Jennifer Mitchell, Steven (Nikki) Groll, Karen (Brian) Dickey and Kathy Solger; dear brother, Ralph (Anne) Hart and sisters-in-law, Lois Hart and Debbie Hart; grateful grandchildren, Jessica (Luke) Williams, Amy (Armando) Lanuti, Kelly Colver, Pamela (Jason) Cupp, Jeff Colver, Alyson (John) Harbor, Tarleton Luke (Rachel) Ware, Sally Ware, Kayleigh Mitchell, Ashleigh (Jeremy) Jefferies. McKenzie (Travis) Ballou, Alyssa Groll, Courtney (Daniel) Herbert, Zachary Powell, Christopher (Alisha) Powell, Nathaniel Arvin, Stephanie Arvin, Katelin (Nick) Turner and Taylor Solger; 30 great-grandchildren as well as her favorite grand-dog “Murph” and a host of wonderful and dear friends at Rosewalk. Visitation for Beverly will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, June 23rd at Leppert Mortuary – Carmel Chapel and conclude at time of funeral services at 1:00 pm. Cremation follows services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Beverly’s name to her good and friendly neighbors who have always supported the residents of Rosewalk, American Legion Carmel Post #155.
