Marshall Ray Anderson

Marshall Ray Anderson, 73, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at his residence. Born November 12, 1943 in Smithville, Indiana, he was the son of Stanley and Flora (Sexton) Anderson. He served in the National Guard and retired from R.C.A. where he was a mule driver. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, the Bloomington Loyal Order of the Moose. He loved going to garage and yard sales, mushroom hunting and, more than anything, spending time with his family.
Marshall is survived by his two daughters, Mary (Teresa Loyd) Anderson and Marsha (Michael) Anderson-Corns, both of Bloomington; one son, Matthew Anderson, of Bloomington, one step-son, William “Bill” Duncan, of Bloomington, his twin sister, Mildred “Kay” Robinson, of Bloomington; thirteen grandchildren, Mackenzie Sexton, Lauren Sexton, Summer “Summertime” Sexton, David Anderson, Ton-ya Anderson, Brittany (Steve) Landwer, Kelsey Shaffer, James Sexton, Megan Anderson-Corns, Maya Anderson-Corns, Mitchell Anderson-Corns, Ryan Anderson and Benjamin Anderson and one great-grandson, Benjamin Landwer.
Marshall was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana Jill Anderson; five sisters Norma Louise Baugh, Helen Laverne Barger, Epsie Marie Kramer, Marjie Joann Deckard and Nancy Anderson and two brothers, Louie Fredrick Anderson and Donald Anderson.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W; Gourley Pike with Pastor Les Rovenstein officiating. Burial will follow in the Smithville Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
