Donnie C Walker

Donnie C Walker, 72, of Bloomington died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in his home. He was born April 17, 1948 in Bloomington to William Henry Madison “Matt” Walker and Erie Ann Vibbert Walker. He was retired from Otis Elevator and the Indiana DNR. Survivors include his two sons, Chad Featherston and Daniel (Christy Lynn) Featherston, both of Bloomington; a twin brother, Ronnie Walker of Tuscon, AZ; a brother, Rawlin Walker of Bedford, a sister, June (Jim) Duvall of Indianapolis; a special nephew, Jay Johnston of Bloomington; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mitchell and Kenneth Walker; and three sisters, Pauline Walker, Betty Davis and Bertice Bell. Donnie was a member of Friendship Church in Bloomington and had attended Souls Matter Apostolic Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran and an avid bowler and had been in many leagues at Classic Bowling Center. In addition to bowling, Donnie loved spending time with his grandchildren, going to church, singing, camping, fishing and helping anyone that he could. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2020 at 12:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W Gourley Pike with Reverends Charles Evans, Jr. and Aaron Strunk officiating, burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to services on Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
