Doris Kay Cain

Doris Kay (Grubbs) Cain, age 83 of Indianapolis formerly of Beech Grove, passed away on March 24, 2024 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Oct. 17, 1940 to the late James and Ida (Bray) Grubbs, her mother remarried Noble H. Christy who raised her and whom she called dad. She was a 1958 graduated of Emmerich Manuel H.S. and was a homemaker and later retired from L.S. Ayre's as an executive secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" of 56 years, her sisters, Helen (George) Hill and Phyllis Christy; brothers, Harold (Linda) Grubbs and Mike Christy; beloved granddogs Brandi, Maggie, Sadie, Mazie and her beloved pet "Freeway." She is survived by her children, Vicki (Jim) Little, Robbi Cain, Kipp (Stefanie) Cain and Wendi (Terry) Galuska; granddaughter, Nicole Cain; brother, George Grubbs and sister-in-law, Jenny Christy; and granddogs Auggie and Kali. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Friday, March 29 from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at at Little & Son Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
