Daniel Reed Stuckey

Daniel Reed Stuckey, age 67, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday October 18, 2018. Daniel was born September 15, 1951 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Mary Katherine Stuckey and Reed Stuckey. Daniel was known for being a people person, sometimes striking up conversations with perfect strangers as he always had happy demeanor. He was known to open doors for people or ask that they go ahead of him. This character trait is one that defined his life. Daniel enjoyed playing cards, loved the watching the Colts each Sunday, and the company of his dog Morgan. However, his family meant more to him than anything else. Benjamin Franklin said "There never was a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous." Daniel left an indelible mark on all his family and those he met every day with his courtesy, kind heart, and his willingness to help others before himself. We will miss him dearly everyday. Daniel is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Stuckey; son Josh (Emily) Stuckey; and son Jake (Shanna) Stuckey; brother Tom (Judy) Stuckey, brother Mark (Nancy) Stuckey, brother David (Susie) Stuckey, brother Jack Stuckey, sister Patricia Stuckey, sister Rita Sparks and sister Mary Ann (James) Johnson; granddaughter Avery Stuckey, grandson Corbin Stuckey, grandson Nolan Stuckey, grandson Silas Stuckey and friend Mike Dilley. Daniel was preceded in death by; son Jason R Stuckey; father Reed Stuckey and mother Mary Katherine Stuckey; loving dog Morgan. A visitation for Daniel will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N 17th Ave, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
