Edmund Dwain Monger

Edmund Dwain Monger, age 86, of Beaverdam, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother Ressie D. Monger, father Shirley E. Monger (Nancy) and brother Stephen M. Monger. He worked and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, was a member of the Hanover Country Club for 35 years, The Hollows Golf Club for 16 years, enjoyed being active in all seasons, golfing, swimming, tennis, skiing, ice-skating and riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed riding his bike for a day trip to West Virginia. He loved the mountains. Edmund was survived by his wife of 50 years Rebecca Monger, children Kimberly Monger Clark, Mark Allan Monger (Keowna), and Michelle Baughan Monger (Cory Schlein); cherished grandchildren Eric Turner (Jessica), Jacob Monger, and Evan Monger; sister Carole King and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to Edmunds visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Henrico Humane Society or an animal rescue group of your choice.
