Maria Eugenia Sanjines

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved, Maria Eugenia Sanjines (Nelly), who left us on the evening of September 14, 2024, after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, wisdom, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters: Karen Adriana Sanjines and Doly Sanjines Cornejo, grandson Antonio Franz Ortiz, great grandson Nicolas Carlos Ortiz, great granddaughter Emilia Antonella Ortiz, siblings: Maria Teresa Mendoza, Elsa Cornejo, Jorge Luis Cornejo, Rene Cornejo, Armando Cornejo, Blanca Rosa Cornejo; brother in-law, nieces, and nephews, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She is now reunited with her loving husband Serafin Sanjines. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a memorial service will be held in her honor. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman. A visitation for Maria will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22203. Con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra amada María Eugenia Sanjinés (Nelly), quien nos dejó la noche del 14 de septiembre de 2024, después de una vida bellamente vivida. Llena de amor, risas, sabiduría y fortaleza, tocó las vidas de todos los que la conocieron. Le sobreviven sus hijas: Karen Adriana Sanjines y Doly Sanjines Cornejo, su nieto Antonio Franz Ortiz, su bisnieto Nicolás Carlos Ortiz, su bisnieta Emilia Antonella Ortiz, hermanos: María Teresa Mendoza, Elsa Cornejo, Jorge Luis Cornejo, René Cornejo, Armando Cornejo, Blanca Rosa Cornejo; cuñado, sobrinas y sobrinos, quienes continuarán honrando su legado viviendo sus vidas al máximo. Ahora se ha reunido con su amado esposo Serafín Sanjinés. Para conmemorar su increíble viaje y celebrar el amor que difundió, se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo en su honor.
