History

Jess and Clara Navarre moved to Baytown from Dayton in 1967 with their three children, Mike, Chris and Judy. In their new hometown, they established Baytown Ambulance Service, which they ran until 1994. In 1984, the family acquired Paul U. Lee Funeral Home, which had served Baytown and the surrounding area since 1923. Jess and Clara had worked in the funeral business in Dayton, and when they purchased the Baytown funeral home, they changed the business name to reflect their own. Today, Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services is part of the Dignity Memorial^® network.
