History

Housed in what was once the Guarantee Bank and later a local teen center, Hargrave Funeral Home was founded by Joseph “Joe” and Bernice Hargrave in 1989. It was later sold to Cliff Ourso, who owned Ourso Funeral Homes of Pierre Part, Donaldsonville, White Castle and Gonzales.

That transition eventually led to Hargrave joining the Dignity Memorial® network, which allows our funeral directors and team to offer personalized funeral and cremation services in St. Mary Parish.

Today, Hargrave Funeral Home plans thoughtful funeral and memorial services for families in St. Mary Parish. We offer comfort and compassionate service to families in need while evolving with our community.
