Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel has a friendly welcome for everyone who walks through our doors. To complement our warm atmosphere, our spacious funeral home features traditional decor in rich colors, hardwood floors and a lobby filled with natural light.

The large funeral chapel seats up to 200 guests, with chairs that can be configured however you please. The smaller chapel seats up to 75 guests. Both have flat-screen televisions and modern sound systems that allow you to play favorite music or a multimedia tribute—which we are happy to create for you.

Adjoining the smaller chapel, a flexible space lets you host family and friends before or after a funeral service for visitation or a catered reception. We can serve anything from a breakfast buffet to cake and coffee to a sit-down dinner with waiter service.

In addition to assisting with an immediate need, we specialize in working with families to make final arrangements in advance. We recognize that funeral arrangements and associated expenses can be overwhelming. Parkview Cemetery

On 68 acres adjacent to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Parkview Cemetery is a quiet, picturesque property with lush gardens, manicured lawns and the occasional deer. With stately trees providing shade and slightly rolling hills, the parklike cemetery allows for both flat and upright grave markers and includes two community mausoleums.

Burial options for all

Our hope is to have a memorialization choice that honors your family's customs or religious tradition. To that end, the cemetery offers traditional in-ground burial, single and couch crypts, build-to-suit estates, bench estates, a cremation garden, cremation niches, an ossuary and more.

The Garden of Freedom hosts a veterans memorial. It features flags from all five U.S. military branches. Many Vietnam veterans are buried in the Vietnam Garden, situated right outside Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel funeral home.

Community events

Together, Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel and Parkview Cemetery host several annual events.

On Mother's Day, Parkview Cemetery gives fresh flowers to families visiting the cemetery and invites them to place these flowers on the graves of their loved ones.

Our annual Memorial Day service alternates between the funeral home and cemetery. It draws 50-100 guests each year. The program usually includes a speaker and a funeral honor presented by the American Legion Post 2.

Our holiday memorial service is a beautiful gathering of families during a special time of year. We invite local clergy and musicians to fill our chapel with the sounds of the season and give families a gift in honor of their loved ones.

History

A group of Peoria businessmen led by C.T. Hutchison founded Parkview Cemetery in 1921. In 1938, Delbert and Helen Davison established Davison Funeral Home at 813 S. Western Ave., on the south side of Peoria.

Following the unexpected death of Delbert in 1968, George Fulton purchased the business. The funeral home served the community in the same location until it tragically burned down. In 1973, a new chapel was built at 1203 W. Garfield Ave., in Bartonville. At that time, the business name was changed to Davison-Fulton Funeral Chapels.

In 1980, to serve families on the north side of Peoria, Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel opened adjacent to Parkview Cemetery at 2021 N. University St. In 1989, Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel joined the Dignity Memorial^® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
