One of our favorite things about our North Miami neighborhood is its diverse population. Our multicultural team members serve families of all faiths, beliefs, cultures and backgrounds. They are well-versed in many funeral customs and traditions. We also have many enduring relationships with the religious leaders in our community. Our team speaks English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole.

Versatile chapels for every need

Caballero Rivero Southern has 4 spectacular chapels that hold varying numbers of guests. With modern furniture, tasteful lighting and contemporary artwork, the chapels are designed to comfort. We want you and your guests to feel at home.

Our largest chapel, the Chapel of Peace, accommodates up to 200 guests. The Chapel of Peace features spectacular stained-glass walls, pews and ample space for large events. The Chapel of Serenity is slightly smaller than the Chapel of Peace, holding 100 guests, followed by our smallest chapel, the Chapel of Tranquility, which holds 65 guests. The Chapel of Eternity holds up to 85 guests and is a lovely venue for a catered reception.

Although all of our chapels are non-denominational, if you are looking for a more religious-based service, the Chapel of Peace is the most traditional option.

Catered receptions

Welcome your friends and family with a catered reception to honor the life of your loved one. At Cabellero Rivero Southern, we offer catering services for anything from desserts or appetizers to lunch or dinner. Our choice menus include pastelitos and even a deluxe espresso and cappuccino cart.

Cremation options

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service to a witness cremation after a funeral to a cremation followed by a memorial, we help you understand this increasingly common choice and handle all of the cremation arrangements.

We honor veterans

Caballero Rivero Southern understands the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level One Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

We work with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars to ensure every military funeral service is complete with both a flag and flag cover for the family. We recently started working with the Veterans News Network to further our involvement in the military community of Miami. We believe that our military and veterans deserve dignified memorials, and we will work with you to ensure all military funeral traditions are honored.

We support Miami-Dade schools

Caballero Rivero Southern is most than just a funeral home: We are a vital member of the North Miami community. We support many local organizations but are especially involved with helping Miami-Dade County schools. Each year, we provide more than 200 local students with school supplies.

We also work with the Miami-Dade County School Board on several annual events, including a mock DUI program around prom season to educate high schoolers about the dangers of drinking and driving. We partner with the fire department, police department and medical examiner to put on a mock prom that leads to a drunk driving accident and subsequent funeral. We want to ensure that all Miami-Dade County youth understand the importance of responsible behavior. We know this is an extremely impactful event for the local area students and plan to continue to educate classes to come.
