À propos
Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park has served Miami and surrounding communities for almost 100 years. Established in 1941, our picturesque 64-acre cemetery is the final resting spot of many pioneer families of North Miami and is 1 of the few cemeteries in the State of Florida that has a memorial garden dedicated to members of the Jewish faith.
Large clusters of trees create plenty of shade and quiet areas for reflection. Unique brick statues with religious themes add to the serene atmosphere of the cemetery. With its park-like setting, Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park is a dignified and beautiful final resting spot.
We welcome diversity
The South Florida area is known for its diverse and vibrant community. At Caballero Southern Memorial Park, we celebrate and embrace our multicultural melting pot. As a non-denominational cemetery, we serve families from all backgrounds, faiths and cultures with dignity and respect.
Our professional and experienced team members are knowledgeable on many different burial customs and will work with you to incorporate your family’s traditions.
Memorial garden dedicated to Jewish families
Shalom Memorial Gardens is a fenced, on-site cemetery its own cemetery entrance. The focal point of the garden is a Holocaust memorial that honors and memorializes the more than 6 million Jews who were killed by the Nazi regime as well as the survivors of the Holocaust. Our cemetery team is well-versed in Jewish burial traditions and understands the importance of a prompt, respectful burial.
Your burial choices
Choosing a final resting spot is one of the most important decisions you can make. How will your legacy be honored? At Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, we offer a variety of burial options: in-ground burial, above-ground entombment, private hedge estates, private family mausoleums and cremation memorialization—cremation niches, cremation estates (including large estates that hold families of 6 or more) and columbaria.
For those who prefer above-ground entombment, there are 28 mausoleums, including an air-conditioned mausoleum with a pink marble chapel that seats up to 50 for committal services.

Showmen’s Rest
Presided over by a life-size elephant statue flanked by a pair of lions, the Showmen’s Rest section of the cemetery is the final resting place for more than 100 circus performers, clowns, acrobats and others.
Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park belongs to the International Independent Showmen’s Association, a private organization made up of people who work in the outdoor amusement industry. The cemetery is 1 of just 2 cemeteries in Florida that are officially designated for members of the group.
Burial services for veterans and military families
At Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, we are honored to serve veterans and military families. We work closely with every branch of the U.S. armed forces and participate in the Dignity Memorial® Homeless Veterans Burial Program.
Founded on the belief that every veteran deserves a dignified and honorable burial, the Homeless Veterans Burial Program is a cooperative effort with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, local medical examiners, coroners, veterans advocates and veterans organizations. Through the program, homeless and indigent veterans who have no family to claim them are identified and given proper military burials.
The cemetery includes a dedicated veterans section.
We care about Miami
The Miami community is important to us. At Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, we host numerous annual events to bring the community together, including on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. For Memorial Day, we team up with local veterans groups, as well as a Boy Scouts troop, to place American flags on every serviceman's and servicewoman's grave.
To support our community, we host a back-to-school event each August, partnering with area fire departments, to give away hundreds of bags of school supplies and raffle off book bags and other prizes for our school children.
At our holiday remembrance service in December, we invite families to come to the cemetery to remember and celebrate their loved ones. This annual event includes a memorial tree lighting.
