A Beautiful New Cape Coral Facility

In 2019, a brand-new Coral Ridge Funeral Home opened on the grounds of Coral Ridge Cemetery. Designed to reflect the community's easy Florida culture and with every modern comfort, the state-of-the art facility comprises 8,500 square feet and includes a gorgeous events center.

A light-filled foyer with 25-foot ceilings sets a contemporary tone. The versatile events center holds up to 175 guests and can be arranged for a traditional funeral, a cremation memorial or a celebration of life. A smaller room hosts more intimate gatherings of family and friends. Decor draws on the natural environment, and the sound system is second to none.

The new space was conceived not only as a place for funerals, but also as a community gathering space and venue for events such as weddings, birthday parties and reunions. Our experienced team can help you plan for all kinds of important life occasions.

• Custody of care guaranteed. Our custody-of-care program helps safeguard the identification of your loved one from the time we bring them into our care until the time we return them to your family. We check, cross-check and check again, every step of the way.
• Exclusive custody of your loved one. We use only crematories owned and operated by Dignity Memorial^® providers or trusted partners. Once your loved one is in our custody or that of a trusted partner, they’re in our care until they’re returned to your family.
• Licensed, certified, conscientious staff. All Dignity Memorial crematory operators are licensed and certified by Cremation Association of North America, or CANA. Only one person at a time is cremated, and the cremation chamber is thoroughly cleaned before the next person is cremated.

Coral Ridge Cemetery

Situated on 68 acres, Coral Ridge Cemetery includes 11 beautiful gardens for traditional burial as well as five community mausoleum complexes and seven garden mausoleums. Within meandering walkways and peaceful ponds, manicured lawns offer a range of interment options, including private family estates, cremation niches (some with glass fronts), benches and bronze memorials. The cemetery has special gardens reserved for veterans, Masons, Catholics and people of the Jewish faith.

History

The oldest existing building in Cape Coral first appeared on the county tax register in 1947. Back then, the city it was a destination for winter visitors searching for relaxation and good fishing. The building was a hotel, which eventually served for years as the offices and chapel for Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Coral Ridge Cemetery.

In 2019, on the grounds of the cemetery and very near the original building, Coral Ridge Funeral Home opened a state-of-the-art events center to better meet the needs of its contemporary Florida community.
