Phyllis Ann Jackson

Phyllis Ann Jackson, age 62, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on November 29, 1961 in Ontario, Ohio. Phyllis married Murrel Jackson on August 29, 1999 in Angola, Indiana. He survives. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Horsley, and her daughter Destiney Marie Gurik, as well as her uncle, Stan Horsley and her mom Eileen Gurik. Survivors include her husband, Murrel Jackson of Fremont, Indiana, children, Mark Gurik, John Gurik, Luke (Ashton) Gurik, step-children, Ami Prugh, Corey Jackson, Mandy LoCastro, Melissa Welch, and Lindsey Jackson, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, siblings include, Carry (Max) Stephenson, and 8 others, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Phyllis spent many years of her life serving as a bartender in many different places. Phyllis enjoyed swimming in her pool, as well as sunbathing, while her grandkids played. She very much enjoyed any time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband drinking cold beer in the "chicken coop" while enjoying each others company. She loved to collect gnomes and angel figurines. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 pm until 3 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Fremont Moose Lodge.
