IN THE CARE OF
Lindsey Funeral Homes
Robert John Florio, born and raised in Manassas, Virginia, passed away on November 20, 2016 at the age of 30. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Juanita Florio, and his brother, Thomas Florio. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Jack and Joanne Florio, Jean Depcrynski, John and Joanne Allison, and Donald “Tattoo Man” and Jerri Lavoie, as well as his cousins, Jaclyn and Suzanne Florio and Anita Jean Florio Watson, Andrew and Alec Depcrynski and Amy Depcrynski Lavelle, Sean, Jay and Paige Allison and Gwynn Allison Harvill, and Donnie Lavoie and Tina Lavoie Pajeski, and Godparents Don and Linda Lepore.
Robert attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the city he claimed as his second home, graduating with a degree in Graphic Design. His latest designs were featured at The March Hare in Staunton, Virginia, though his work has been seen across the United States and Europe. His passion for design was exceeded only by his passion for music, which he made as often as possible with as many people as possible. Whether on tour with one of his many bands or making friends and helping those in need in his everyday life, Robert shared his spirit both on and off the stage.
Celebrations of life will be held in both Harrisonburg and in Manassas. In Harrisonburg, the family will receive visitors at Lindsey Funeral Home, 473 South Main Street, on November 30 from 5-7 p.m. In Manassas, a memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 8712 Plantation Lane, on December 1 from 5-8 p.m.
