OBITUARY
Patty Carr Beatty
14 December, 1973 – 10 November, 2024
IN THE CARE OF
Lindsey Funeral Homes
Patty Carr Beatty, born December 14, 1973, left this world on the afternoon of November 10, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by James Carr (father) and Steve Martin (father).
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Raymond Beatty, her son, Zachary Beatty, Zachary’s wife, Emily Beatty, her son “Baby Bird” Jackson Beatty, mother, Debra Martin, brothers, Michael and Austin Martin, and an extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and nephews too numerous to list.
Throughout her life and professional career, Patty touched the lives of many friends and coworkers who will likely never forget her feisty nature.
Patty was also a “beagle mom” to her dog Gretal, who is missing her terribly.
It is difficult to capture the essence of such an amazing person in just a few lines. As a wife, she was a passionate partner in all things. As a mother, she carefully walked the line between being a guiding parent and best friend with her two boys. In her professional career, she enthusiastically cared about her product and her “peeps”. When it was time to celebrate, she did so with nearly reckless abandon. When life dealt her challenges, she smiled, picked herself up, and faced them with determination, never wasting remorse on the cause. Her easy, self-assured manner made people feel at ease and be instantly captivated.
Patty lived a life without regret and the world is a dimmer place with her passing.
A visitation will be held for Patty at Lindsey Funeral Home, 473 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA on November 23, 2024, from 2-5pm.
The family requests in lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Patty donate to the American Cancer Society in her name.
