Her’s was a gracious life filled with humor and wit, wonderful friends, enjoyable ordinary days and wonderful special occasions. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the Massanutten Chapter of the DAR, the original RMH Hospice program, the Altar Guild and once affiliated with the Greenwood and Spotswood Garden Clubs. She enjoyed movies at her family’s Virginia Theatre, bridge, book club, tennis and bittersweet in the fall. She loved a Maker’s Mark, a Jesse’s dog, a Kline’s ice cream and a glass of champagne, in no particular order.
She said her greatest honor was being a mother to her son Thomas J. Wilson IV of Harrisonburg, and her three daughters, Rebecca Lee Wilson of Harrisonburg, Carter Wilson Hailey of Alexandria, and Leslie Wilson Pepper of Edmond, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by five grandchildren; Blair Elizabeth Pepper, Reid Thomas Pepper, Ann Claiborne Pepper all of Edmond, Oklahoma, John Claiborne Wilson of Charlottesville and Madison Lee Wilson of Harrisonburg.
