Brian Anthony Carderelli

Brian Anthony Carderelli, 25, a resident of Harrisonburg, VA, died in service to his Lord and the people of Afghanistan on Thursday, August 5. He had been in Afghanistan since last September.
A son of Michael A. and Sharon Beiler Carderelli, he was born on Nov. 14, 1984 in Harrisonburg.
He received an Associates Degree from Blue Ridge Community College and his Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University. Brian was Public Relations Manager for the International School of Kabul and freelance videographer for various other non-government organizations in Kabul. While living in Harrisonburg, he was a skiing and snowboarding instructor at Massanutten Ski Resort and photographer for the water park. Brian worked as a camp counselor at Grace Bible Camp in Goshen, VA for several summers and as a videographer for Rockbridge Young Life Camp in the summer of 2009. Brian was an Eagle Scout who enjoyed all kinds of outdoor adventure. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he served as a much-loved youth leader who inspired many young people to live their lives with the goal to honor God.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jonathan who is married to Elaina Harold Carderelli; and Daniel Carderelli who is currently in Recruit Training for the Marine Corp at Parris Island, SC, one sister, Gina Carderelli, and a nephew, Micah Carderelli, all of Harrisonburg; maternal grandparents, Glen and Anna Ruth Beiler of Akron, PA; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Eunice Carderelli of Lynchburg, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. A
Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 Sunday evening, Aug. 22, at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Pastors Ken Aldrich, Joe Slater and Tim Frost from Covenant, and Dr. Philip Smuland of Florida, officiating.
Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation and the casket will not be opened.
