Jannette R. Lafontaine

Jannette R. Lafontaine, age 80, of Yorktown, Virginia passed away in the arms of her husband, Robert on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 6:52 AM in their home in Yorktown. She was born in New York City on June 29, 1943. She attended BMC Durfee High School and worked at Stella Ann Frocks before marrying the love of her life. Jan and Robert spent a beautiful 63 years together. Jannette is preceded in death by her father Herman Winterhoff of NYC, and mother Elsie Seddig of Tampa, FL. She is survived by her husband Robert, sister Elaine Naughton of Patchogue, NY; daughters Donna Kiefer of Augusta, GA and Dana Knox of Lancaster, SC; grand-daughter Abbey Fohringer of Kelchsau, Austria, and grand-sons Alex Keifer of Washington, DC, Micah Knox of Ashville, NC, and Noah Knox of Lancaster, SC; great grand-daughter Nora Emilie Fohringer of Austria. Jannette was a beautiful wife and a wonderful mother, she will be deeply missed, and her memories will be forever treasured. A visitation for Jannette will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m. at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home. An interment will occur on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM. at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veteran's cemetery.
