James Frances Woodard Jr.

James Woodard went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2023. He was a machinist at Newport News Shipyard for 42 years. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Audrey Woodard, sister Lou King, brother Kenny Woodard and his son Jamie Woodard. He is survived by his wife Judy Woodard and daughter Sandy Christensen (Al), grandson Granger Woodard (Kaitlyn) and great grandchildren Esme’ and Beckett Woodard. A public visitation for James will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666. A celebration of life service will occur Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666. An interment to follow the service will occur Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 North Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
