Deborah A. Couch

On April 26th, 2023, Deborah Ann Couch, beloved Wife, Mother and Grammie, graduated to heaven and was reunited with her Mother and Father. Debbie was born to Charles and Florence Eyrich in Maryland and lived in Yorktown/York County for over 60 years. She was a Warehouse Supervisor for the Newport News Shipyard, retiring with over 30 years of service in 2010. Debbie married Tim Couch in 1979 on New Years Day, and they spent many days enjoying each other’s company. She had one daughter, Sheri, and “the light of her life,” her grandson, Justin. Debbie was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. She will truly be missed by everyone, especially her ever-faithful companion, Gretchen. While she was taken home too soon, we know that she is playing on blissful clouds with her many furbabies who passed before her. Debbie is survived by her husband, Timothy Couch, her daughter Sheri Bias (James), grandson Justin Bias, sisters Patricia Akers, Sandra Eyrich, and Andrea Dean (Norman) and other family and caring friends. Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue Hampton, VA 23666. Public visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, with a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM, and graveside burial, thereafter.
