Daisy Bernice Wright

Daisy Bernice Wright, 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Hampton. Daisy was a native of Westminster, MD and had been a resident of Hampton for 26 years. She received an AA Business Degree from Thomas Nelson Community College and retired from Langley Air Force in 2012 after 23 years of service. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Della Slaughter and a sister, Helen Kay. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Wright; son, Norris Wright; daughter, Tracy Wright-Wilson; four grandchildren, Norris, Maxine, Ciera, Jordan; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Lydia; brother, Fred Slaughter; four sisters, Roxie Allen, Freda Moody, Teira Galanos, Mona L. Slaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Daisy’s life will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
