Betty Mae Buehler

Betty Fond Buehler, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was born to the late John Fond and Naomi Carpenter on August 20, 1932 in Newport News, Virginia. Betty grew up in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School’s Class of 1951. In her childhood she attended Hampton Baptist Church where she later married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Buehler in 1955. She was a Unit Secretary for Old Hampton General Hospital and retired after 18 years of service.
Betty was preceded in rest by her husband, Chuck Buehler and her daughter, Debbie Craft. She is survived by her son, Eddie Wasik of Plant City, Florida; grandchildren, Heather, Shana, David, Ashley and Michelle, all of Florida; great-grandchildren, Sarinaty, David, Joshua, Jonathan, Shanella, Austin and Abigal, all of Florida; sister, Shirley Ann Bush of Newport News, Virginia; niece, Donna Cosentino; best friend for many years, Ethel Hardy; and cousins, Doris Huff, Patsy Klose, and Bubba Schultz.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
