Obituary of Annamaria Giombini Soule
Annamaria Giombini Soule of Hampton, Virginia was called back home to our Lord on Wednesday January 4th, 2023 at the age of 91. Annamaria was born on October 11th, 1931 to Domenico and Teresa Giombini (Novelli) in Rome, Italy and was the middle child of her two sisters, Rossanna and Giovanna. After the outbreak of World War II, their family fled Italy to Tripoli, Libya. It was in Tripoli where Annamaria began her lifelong hobby of seamstress work to help her family make ends meet. She would also meet her future husband of 51 years, Nelson Soule, who was stationed at Wheelus Air Force Base, where he happened to bring his uniforms in for tailoring. Their marriage would bear two inseparable brothers, Mark and Richard Soule. Annamaria would travel all over the world as military spouses and families often do, and she went on to perfect the most important job of homemaking. She still carried her love for seamstress work with her as everywhere she went, she was always found someone she could sew for. Her two sons, Mark and Richard would go on to join the Air Force like their father and start families of their own. Richard married Lucille Williams and they gave Annamaria her first grandchildren, Adam, Justin, and Erin. Erin would give Annamaria her first great-grandchildren, Kenya, Alexandria, and Savian. Mark married Cheryl Johnson and gave her another grandson, Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Domenico and Teresa, her older sister, Rossanna, her husband Nelson, her son, Richard, and her brother-in-law, Wayne Baker (Giovanna) She is survived by her sister, Giovanna; her son; Mark; her grandchildren, Adam, Justin, Erin, Austin; her great-grandchildren, Kenya, Alexandria, and Savian; her brother-in-law, Rinaldo Brolli (Rossanna) and her daughters-in-law, Lucille and Cheryl. A funeral service will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral home on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00 AM. After the service will be her burial next to her husband at Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens, both of which are in Hampton, Virginia. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.parklawn-woodfh.com for the Soule family.
