David C Brennan

David C. Brennan, son of Peter and Christie Brennan passed away on June 6,2021 in Fort Wayne Indiana.
David was a long time resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana after moving there from the Syracuse, New York area in 1966. He grew up in New Berlin, New York where he met his wife of 64 years, Faye Irene Spicer. David found his passion for football at New Berlin Central High School. He received a scholarship to Colgate University to play football. He was a proud Raider, keeping in touch with classmates and attending reunions in Hamilton, New York. David began his career as a teacher and coach in Minoa, New York. After completing his masters degree in education from New York State University, he accepted a position at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was later appointed assistant to the dean at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, and advanced in his career to appointed Director of Continuing Education Services for IPFW. Dave's strong desire to help students succeed was what drove him to work in higher education. Dave was an active member and past president of the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club. He was a long time member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church.
David is survived by his loving wife Faye Brennan, his daughter Kelly Vickers (David) and son Shaun Brennan (Lisa) who both reside in Georgia. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers Floyd Brennan, Edward Brennan, and Peter Brennan.
David was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandpa. He was an avid follower of all sports and loved dancing. He and his wry sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, IN or New Berlin United Methodist Church, New Berlin, NY.
