Carole A. Schneider

Carole A. Schneider, 81, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Prior to marriage she attended St. Mary of the Woods College in West Terre Haute, IN. Carole worked with Today's Catholic Newspaper for 8 years, retiring in 1996. Previously she worked as a seamstress for JC Penney and several other local fabric stores in Fort Wayne. Carole was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church where she participated in the Rosary Sodality. She volunteered at St. Anne Home and enjoyed sewing for her family and parish family. Most of all Carole enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who shared her passion for playing cards. Surviving are her daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" (Gerrit) Janssen, Mary (James) Minser, Kathryn "Kasey" (Dean) Eckland all of Fort Wayne, Christina Gray, and Jennifer (Martin) Cisco both of Indianapolis, IN; 16 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 great-grandson; aunt, Marjorie Skarie, and many cousins. Carole was preceded in death by her husband, William Schneider; parents, Peter and Helen Fettig; granddaughter, Susan Janssen; and her son-in-law, John Walters. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
