He served in the Korean War. He moved to Yuma in 1969 to build Caravan Oasis RV Park with his brother. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to Canada with family.
He is survived by Jonita "Jo" Steinly of Yuma, son and daughter in law Neal and Stephanie Steinly of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, daughter Amy Jo Thomas of Maine, brother and sister in law Henry and Alice Steinly of Yuma, aunt Eleanor Barton of Illinois, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Reverend Reinhart and Helena Steinly.
Memorial service is planned for 10:00 A.M. on March 18, 2017 at Johnson's Mortuary with a reception at the Elks Lodge at 11:30 A.M. following services.
