Tom "Tommy" Taylor, 69, passed away at his home on Monday, September 22, 2014. He was born August 28, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor.
Tommy graduated from Kofa High School in 1964 and he married his high school sweet heart of 48 years, Susan Taylor. He was currently employed at Sprague's Sports. He was associated with the Yuma County Fair as commissioner and board member; he was a life-time member of the Yuma Rod and Gun Club, Past President of White Mountain Range Riders, and member of the Yuma County Sheriff's Posse. Tommy was an avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman, and camper, but most of all he loved his family.
Tommy is survived by his wife Susan Taylor; his daughter Tracy Tunnell of El Cajon, CA; his son Tim Taylor (Jessica) of Yuma, AZ; along with his grandchildren Tanner Tunnell, Brooke Tunnell, Brett Taylor, and Joselyn Taylor; his mother Kathryn Taylor; brother Larry Taylor (Cheryl); sister Patsy McBride (Taylor), brother-in-law Billy Foster; two nieces; four nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews, and we cannot forget his faithful companion Saige.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father Charlie Taylor; his brother Danny Taylor, and his mother-in-law Erma Foster.
A memorial service will be held at the Yuma County Fair Grounds (Charlie Gilpins Pavilion) on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10 am. Please enter at the Pacific Street entrance.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren Tanner Tunnell, Brooke Tunnell, Brett Taylor, and Joselyn Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gila Ridge FFA, Yuma County 4-H, and Hospice of Yuma.
