Shirley May McKinley passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at the age of 70. She was born in Conneaut, OH, on January 16, 1941 to her parents Jessie and Jacob Forsty.
Shirley was a beloved wife of 51 years to James, whom she met while he served with the honor guard on duty for the U.S Marine Corps at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington, D.C After 20 years in Civil Service she and James frequently travel the U.S and abroad, she volunteered with the YRMC Auxiliary for 11 years, enjoyed quilting and was a devoted bingo player.
Shirley is survived by her husband, James and their children and spouses Paul (Sharon), Sandra, William (Leslie); four grandchildren Sean, Kyle, Liam and Connor; and her sister, Ruth Griffey of Conneaut, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother George Forsty.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 4:00 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3030 S. 8th Avenue, Yuma, AZ. 85364.
