A graduate of Yuma Union High School (Criminal ‘48), Richard’s first employment was with Sanguinetti general store. Moving on to assist with surveying Yuma County with the Bureau of Land Management, salesman for Mohawk Wholesales & Equipment, worked in constructions learning the plumping trade which led him to working at Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) where he retired as a contract inspector for the government. Was a member, in good standing, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles FOE #398 (People Helping People) since 1954. He served as a Past Worthy President and a trustee when needed. A member of Immaculate Conception Parrish. Richard also served in the Arizona Army National Guard for 20 years becoming an officer and company commander of 158th Infantry (Bushmasters) retiring as a Major. His long life allowed him to enjoy activities such as softball, bowling, golfing, hunting, and camping. He assisted in coaching several Yuma little league teams and attended several sporting events for his children, grandchildren and other family members and friends. Enjoyed going out for weekly dinner and occasional dance nights with his love Stella.
