He was surrounded by his wife and children in his final hours.
Oscar was born on June 8, 1945 in Villa Hidalgo, Sonora, México. He lived in California for 13 years and in Arizona for 40+ years. Mr.
Noriega spent over 30 years building a small business in Yuma, AZ which he proudly passed to his oldest son after retirement. Additionally,
he was proud of sending his daughters to college, his youngest son to trade school and seeing many grandchildren and great-
grandchildren brought into the world.
He had an incredibly strong work ethic but in his time off was able to pursue his passions including sport fishing in Baja, camping on the beach
during fishing trips to El Golfo, listening to Oldies but Goodies (had an impressive vinyl collection), classic cars, playing softball and baseball, following
the Dodgers and Diamondbacks, and grilling carne asada for his family and friends.
Oscar was preceded in death by his father Sr. Ramon Noriega Madrid, his mother Sra. Maria Consuelo Rascón Perez, his three brothers Roque Noriega
Rascón, Ramon Noriega Rascón, and Alberto Noriega Rascón. He is survived by his wife Maria Esther, his four children, Griselda
and her husband Armando, Oscar and his wife Anesia, Diana and her husband Paul, and Alfonso and his wife Cori, his 14 grandchildren Alex, Vivi,
Oscar, Mathew, Talia, Brian, Lawrence, Ethan, Noah, Harli, Rylie, Hans, Klaus, and Pyper, his 4 great-grandchildren Christian, Nina, Damar and
Luna, his sisters Manuela and Sylvia, his brothers Arnulfo, Victor, Hector, and Marcos and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Johnson Mortuary from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m.. A mass will follow on Tuesday, December 28, 2021
at Immaculate Conception Church from 4-5 p.m..
