She worked as a hairdresser in Saskatoon and ended up in Seattle where her sister Jackie lived and got a job with Nordstrom, then ended up in New York and ultimately found herself living in Los Angeles selling real estate. This is where she met her husband Alejandro Villarreal and they had a son, Alex Andre Villarreal. Norma lived a wild and adventurous life punctured with grace. Norma was a dynamic character known for her humor, her spontaneity, fiery tongue and generous heart. Norma was a dynamic presence to her siblings, relatives and friends. You could hear her voice over many midways and recognize her stature when she was barely in sight. Norma had the ability to penetrate one's heart and become a friend quickly. She will be easy to remember because she became part of most of the people she met and her presence will echo in our souls for a long, long time.
Norma will be cremated and her ashes will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
