After a long battle with leukemia, Mary Virginia Hills went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Mary Virginia was born in Redlands, California on June 17, 1926. She graduated from Yuma High School and received her B.S. Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Hills; her son, Larry W. Hills; her grandson, Sean Douglas Hills; her parents, Thomas and Willie Smith, and her brother, Jimmy Smith. She is survived by her son, Randy L. Hills; her grandson, Geoffrey S. Hills; her sister, Betty Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews. In life, she enjoyed teaching, reading, gardening, crafting, and loving on her family. We will miss her greatly, but we know that she is rejoicing in heaven with her family and her Jesus!
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. The viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. Services will be at Johnson Mortuary 1415 South 1st Ave. Yuma, Arizona. Phone number: 928-782-4384.
