Marie F. Garcia, 92, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, AZ. She was born April 8, 1922 in Long Island, NY to Elizabeth Mead Cafone and Pasquale Cafone. Marie worked as a WWII military supply factory worker, insurance agent, and bowling alley prometer. In 1988, German and Marie started their own business called G&M Meat Processors. Marie enjoyed bowling, raising desert tortoises, and casinos.Marie is survived by her husband, German B. Garcia of Yuma; sons, Gary W. Crocker (Martha) of Yuma, Larry D. Crocker, German G. Garcia of Yuma; daughters, Grisell De Frates (Gary) of Springfield, IL and Glenda Pavey (Philip) of Ft. Scotts, KS; 11 grandchildren; more than 26 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was preceded in death by her son, Thomas G. Crocker; sister, Claire Norland; and her parents.Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Funeraria del Angel, 795 W. 28th Street, Yuma, AZ 85364. Cremation will follow.
