Manuel C. Nunez, 78, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Yuma Nursing Center. He was born November 24, 1935 in Dome Valley, Arizona. Manuel worked for the Southern Pacific railroad and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Manuel loved being around his family and grandchildren.
Manuel is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria C. Nunez; sons, Joe (Roxanna) Nunez and Jesse (Tracy) Nunez; brother, Frank Nunez; sister, Alice (Ysidro) Mendivil; 3 grandchildren Devin, Breeana, and Jeremy.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S 1st Avenue, Yuma with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Scripture Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Pallbearers will be Manuel's beloved family members and friends. Final resting place will beat a later date at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Yuma, Arizona.
