Yuma native Kenneth Dale Keane passed peacefully on July 30, 2021 at home with beloved wife Cheryl by his side. Kenny was born on Christmas day 1954 to parents Kenneth S. and Mary Lou Keane. Kenny completed his primary and secondary education in Yuma, he was a proud Kofa "King" graduate. Kenny loved growing up in Yuma, he would often state he had a perfect childhood with many childhood friends that became lifelong friends.
Born with a strong work ethic Kenny began working at the Stardust hotel when he was just 13. Kenny was an amazing chef and helped to make many local restaurants successful including; the Farmhouse, Rouges Gallery, Chilton Inn, Stardust, Sky Chef and The Crossing. He left the hospitality industry to join ITT Continental/Hostess to have a successful career there for over a decade. Kenny then returned to his love of food and friends to open his own restaurant, Kenny's Kitchen.
At Kenny's Kitchen he found much joy in serving locals of the Yuma community. Many of his patrons were those he had known since childhood.
Kenny was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Mary Lou, siblings Michael, Linda and Kevin Keane. Also preceding him in death was daughter Enjoli Magarelli.
Kenny is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years Cheryl. Kenny is also survived by his children Kenneth Keane, Tanner Keane, Kasandra Cornman (Chris Frost) and Johnathan Magarelli (Patty). He is survived by grandchildren, Tanner, Noah, Lucas, Patrick, Hailey, Adrian, Lyric, Theo, Emily, Deja, Steve Grace, Jiselle, Leinene, and Sweena.
Kenny is survived by his loving sister Sandy and her husband Ralph Beckstrom. He always looked forward to their visits and loved to reminisce with Sandy about their childhood and early life in Yuma. Kenny was very proud of Sandy, his little sis, and all her accomplishments. Kenny also leaves us with his special companion and devoted dog Daisy.
Prior to illness, Kenny was an awesome bowler, incredible pool player and a great golfer. Basically Kenny excelled at anything he was passionate about.
Kenny was a man of his word and a true friend. Kenny was thoughtful, kind and loved with his whole heart. Kenny was a man of integrity.
