Dave graduated high school in Coolidge, Arizona. An operating engineer and veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served four years, he was born December 20, 1933, in Okemah, Oklahoma. He enjoyed listening to blues, BB King and Bobby Blue Bland/ deep sea fishing, gardening, and talking to his dog, Buddy.
A visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with Funeral Services at 11 a.m.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Lorice Brooks of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Kim Hort of Phoenix, AZ, sons, Richard Wright of Coolidge, Arizona and Kenneth Brooks, son of Yuma, Arizona and an entire host of other family members who will miss him greatly. He was welcomed home by his parents Dave and Luther May Brooks and his niece, Sharon.

Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements, including private cremation.
