At 3 yrs old Austin rode the train from Oklahoma to Arizona with his mother and younger brother Thomas to meet up with his father, and here they planted roots.
Austin loved roping, prospecting and trapping. He was well read on Native American culture, even taking over a tour he was on when the guide was misinformed. I am sure this was much appreciated.
Austin spent his life working Construction and as a farrier, but enjoyed the time he spent Cowboying throughout Arizona in his youth most of all.
Hopefully there are a few good ropings in heaven.
