Michelle Lee Horine

Michelle Lee Horine, nee Barrera, age 40, passed away peacefully on December 29th 2023, at her parents home in Calimesa, CA. She fought like a warrior, but ultimately, and so unfortunately, lost her battle to breast cancer. She was born on July 19th 1983, in Hawaiin Gardens, CA, to Michael (Mike) and Tamara (Tammy) Barrera. She was a 2001 graduate of Pioneer High School in Whittier, CA. She married Jason Horine on May 10th 2015, in Upland CA. Together they have one son, Zander Horine, (now age 8), born on November 7th 2015. She worked at various jobs in the Healthcare field, ranging from medical assistant, surgical tech, receptionist, and finally medical billing and coding. Michelle was a very simple, easy going woman who loved life, family, and friends. She saw people for who they were, and treated them with kindness and compassion. She made friends with practically everyone she met, and always put the needs of others before her own. She always tried to maintain a positive outlook on everything she faced. Her smile could light up the darkest of rrooms. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Jason; her son Zander; her father Michael (Mike); her mother Tamara (Tammy); her sister Christine (Crissy); and her grandmother Sandy (Grandma Honey), along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services to be held at Weaver-Hughes Mortuary, in Yucaipa CA.
