Michael Rogalski, a resident of Yucaipa, California passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Loma Linda University Hospital. Michael was born in Poland on August 20th, 1918 to Julia and Michael Rogalski. A Polish-American veteran, Michael fought in the Polish Underground Army during World War II. In 1951, Michael boarded a ship from Southampton, England and sailed to New York and eventually settled in Yucaipa, Ca in 1986. Michael was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Knights Columbus. Michael had a love for dancing and music, he was crowned as an International Festival King and had his own radio program, “Melodies of Poland” which was broadcasted internationally. Michael was a loving father and husband. Michael is survived by his wife, Anna and his son, Michael Rogalski. A viewing and Rosary will be held at Weaver- Hughes Mortuary in Yucaipa at 6:00pm on Friday, February 28th, 2015. A funeral mass will be held in his honor at St. Francis X Cabrini Catholic Church in Yucaipa on Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at 12:00pm. Burial and graveside service will follow at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimesa.
