Hubert “Hubie” W. Davis, Jr. passed away on July 27, 2016 in Redlands, CA. He was born in Temple, TX on June 15, 1931. After moving to California in 1966 he resided in El Segundo, Carson and Yucaipa. Hubie was a Radio Operator in the Korean Conflict for the United States Marine Corps. He worked for the airlines for 31 years, ending his career as a Reservation Supervisor for Continental Airlines. For many years he was involved with the South Bay Chapter of the SPEBSQSA (Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing In America, Inc.). Hubie loved his volunteer work at the San Bernardino County Museum, especially in the Exploration Station. He always joined the church choir in whatever city the job took him and participating in the United Methodist Church of Yucaipa Choir was a joy for him. But most of all he loved his family.
