On December 24th, 2020 God sent an angel down from Heaven and said come with me. It is time to free you from pain and discomfort and be with the Lord. William John Walton Sr (Bill) passes on this day from the long term effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
Bill was born in Norristown, PA on February 17th, 1933 to Wilbur and Betty Walton. He leaves behind his brother, Bob Walton (Carol) His sister Ruth is deceased.
Bill was a Volunteer Fire Fighter in his home town of Paoli, PA where he met his wife Lois at a fund raising event. They were married for 65 years and raised 5 children. Bill proudly served in the Korean War and later was sent to Germany. Bill also proudly served as a Police Officer in Pennsylvania and Phoenix, AZ. He loved his Law Enforcement years and was a loyal and honorable member of the Phoenix Police Force. His other loves included his family, sports, fishing, hunting and traveling. Having his family with him made him the happiest.
Bill leaves behind his 5 children, sons W John Jr (MaryKay), Curtis (Cheryl), Jim (Barbara), Tom (Debra) and daughter Michelle Mugar (Jay). He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Erin, Chelsea, Scott, Billy, Courtney, Brittany, Jami, Alex and Rachel as well as 8 great grandchildren.
Bill will be sadly missed. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands laid to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the very best.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
