

Jennings, Wanda Rae (nee Knaack), age 80, passed away Saturday November 11, 2023. She was a native of Phoenix, Arizona, born to Ray and Margaret Knaack, February 11, 1943. She grew up in Maryvale and graduated from Carl Hayden H.S. in 1961.
Wanda married Bobbie Jennings in June of 1976 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Bob was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle guy. They would travel to Washington state, New Mexico and California to visit relatives. They always had a great time and lots of funny stories to tell when they got home. Bob owned the Harley used in the movie Electra Glide in Blue. They were married for 25 years until Bob’s death in 2001.
In 1963, Wanda started working at the Motorola Semi-conductor plant on 52nd street & McDowell. She worked most of her 32 years at Motorola in Quality Control. There she became good friends with Fay Hoots, Jan Jupina and Sharon Mewborn. The last few years at Motorola she was in the plating dept eventually moving to the Mohave plant of I17 & Durango.
Wanda was one of the first in the country to buy the brand new Ford Mustang in 1964, a dark blue convertible. She loved roses, red was her favorite color.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Bobbi Babcock, granddaughter Brittany Hanis (Jared), great-grandchildren Hunter & Halle, brother Bill Knaack (Joan) and sisters Faith Tignor (Glenn) and Kathy Blake-Novotny (Chuck) and numerous nephews and nieces. Also, Wanda had a special loving relationship with her sister-in-law Carolyn Heard.
Wanda loved our family gatherings and catching up with all the younger generations, we will all miss her dearly.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Wanda at a later date.
