Louise Zeuner, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Scottsdale Honor Health (Osborn) after an extended illness. She grew up in New Jersey and moved to Arizona with her family in 1960. Louise attended Tempe Union High School and ASU where she accumulated many lifelong friends.
Louise was very active teaching young girls baton twirling, playing tennis, being with family, and traveling the world.
Most of her career focused on construction accounting. As a breast cancer survivor, she walked in the Komen 60-mile 3-day walk ten different times and raised thousands of dollars for research.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents (Stella and Bob Pries). Those left to cherish her memories include her significant other of over 30 years (David Smith), her sister (Barbara Hyde), her son (Brandon Zeuner and his wife Bridget), two grandchildren (Jackson & Brighton), her first husband (Dick Zeuner), niece (Dodie Bell and husband Steve), nephew (Doone Baker and great nephew Adian), great niece (Lauren Rainwater and husband Eric), great nephew (Andrew Bell and wife Meredith and son Byron), and many, many cousins and friends.
There will be a celebration of her life to be scheduled at her sister’s home for family and close friends. It will be a time to share favorite stories of our times together with her.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to breast cancer research.
