John worked for New Process Gear in Syracuse for 3 yrs. He entered the service in 1943 to 1946 with U.S. Army Air Corps. His rank was Corporal. He continued as Bombardment Group called FVFI with the 718th Bomber Squadron during World War II. From 1951 –1983 John worked for U.S. Air as an A & P Mechanic. He retired & moved to Arizona in 1985. Wife: Carmella Major Married July 17th, 1982 ; 2 sisters (deceased) Audrey Major & Jane Radford; 3 brothers (deceased) Harold Major, Donald Major & Fred Major. John has 3 sons Donald Major (New Hartford, N.Y.) Richard Major (Clay, N.Y.) Billy Major (Frisco, Co. Grandson also Jonathan Major (New Hartford, Ct) Granddaughter Tonia Major (Mew Hartford, Ct.) Also 2 Great Grandchildren.
