Doris Melvina Lee

She was born on September 30, 1931 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to the Reverend Carl Fosmark and his bride Esther. She spent the majority of her adult life in Seattle, Edmonds, Auburn and Everett, Washington. She moved to Arizona in June of 2017 becoming a resident first of Sun City West and then Surprise, Arizona after the passing of her beloved husband Richard “Curley” Lee in November of 2016.

Doris is survived by her son Jerry (Diane), sister Sharon (Bud), grandson Ryan (mother – Christy, wife – Mika), granddaughter Heidi Thiesse, and great grandchildren Dominic, Charlie, Fiona and Godric. Sadly, her son Tom preceded her in death in July of 2019.

Doris spent the majority of her 63 year marriage as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was devoted to maintaining her household and caring for her family in a way the honored God and provided her children with a virtuous, loving role model. She was a devout Christian and lived her life in a manner that demonstrated her faith in everything she did. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held in Sun City West, Arizona on Saturday, May 25th at 1 pm.
