James E Diehl

West Manchester Twp - James E. "Jimmy" "Magic Man" Diehl, age 88, of West Manchester Township, York, died at 7:20 AM Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Country Meadows of York-West. He was the husband of Dolores G. (Miller) Diehl.

Born December 16, 1930 in York, a son of the late Ralph E. and Anna (Danner) Diehl, he served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Diehl retired as a master plumber for Caterpillar, Inc., and was a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ and their Ridge Runners, White Rose Square Dancing Club, Mount Wolf Horseshoe Pitching Team, and a life member of the Capital Area Professional Magicians.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Mr. Diehl is survived by a daughter, Cynthia L. Roach, and her husband Ken of Dover; a son, Ned E. Diehl, and his wife Diane of Texas; a grandson, Jason Roach, and his wife Rachel; and a brother, the Rev. Dr. Richard C. Diehl of Wallingford, Connecticut.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Mount Zion United Church of Christ, 1054 Ridgewood Road, York, with his Pastor, the Rev. Jeff Kardisco officiating. Visitation will be 1-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, 849 East Market Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
