Adonna J. Hess

Ms. Hess was born December 24, 1945 in York, daughter of the late Norman A. and Margaret S. (Altland) Hess.

Adonna was a seamstress for many years. When not earning a living she enjoyed talking with friends and family and often reminiscing about her young son Tommy that was 16 at the time of his passing. Adonna had many dogs in her lifetime and enjoyed them as her faithful companions.

Adonna is survived by her son Brian Senft; brothers Randy L. Hess of West York, PA and Jamie L. Hess of New Oxford, PA; three nephews Keith A., Greg A., and Scott Hess; four nieces Melissa A. Young, Ann L. Sheffer, Morgan A. Hess and Amanda S. Hoff; one sister in law Evelyn Kornbau. The family is thankful for Adonna’s friend/neighbor David Conway who helped Adonna tremendously throughout the years up until her passing.

Adonna was preceded in death by her two brothers Ronald N. and Daniel H. Hess, stepmother Patricia A. Hess, niece Danielle M. Hess, a nephew Fred L. Hess and a sister-in-law Gloria A. Hess. Adonna’s final resting place will be next to her cherished son Tommy at Mount Rose Cemetery.

Service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 2:30 pm, those whom wish to attend the service for Adonna should meet @ 2:15 pm inside the entrance of Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Ave., York, PA 17403.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or your favorite animal shelter.
