Born to Vincent and Isabel Lopez on November 21, 1939, in Stanton, California, Virginia led a fulfilling life marked by dedication to her family and community.
After graduating high school, Virginia embarked on a career in the electronics industry, where she worked for many years before retiring. She met and married the love of her life, Edmund Hernandez, with whom she had two sons, Edmund and Vincent.
Virginia cherished her role as a grandmother, often sharing stories about her grandchildren's activities and spending quality time with them. She had a passion for cooking and loved teaching her grandchildren how to prepare her favorite recipes, creating cherished memories in the kitchen.
Known for her remarkable ability to stay connected, Virginia maintained lifelong friendships with her grade school friends, coworkers, and neighbors. She was a social networker before the advent of social networking, always finding joy in keeping in touch with those she loved.
Virginia is survived by her sons, her sister Veronica Kinney, and her beloved grandchildren: Ross, Hanna, Raina, Sofia, Selena, Steven, and Elijah. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on May 30, 2024, at St. Joseph Church, located at 717 N Bradford Avenue, Placentia, CA.
She will be remembered for her love, warmth, and the indelible impact she had on her family and friends.
